The above link mentions Thomas DeWitt Talmage, pastor of the Brooklyn Temple.
He would have been a contemporary of Charles Taze Russell.
I wonder what they thought of each other?
Didn't Russell buy the Brooklyn Temple from him?

I quit!
I didn't know looking at other Bibles was a big deal with the Witnesses. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention which doesn't surprise me. Of course I looked at them with the understanding that the NWT was the best ever (gag). When I was in the Tower I had a New English Bible and a New Jerusalem Bible. My wife who is still a JW had me load the Bibles I have on my cell phone on to her cell phone. One of the translation I have is the New Revised Standard Version, Red Letter addition with Apocrypha. Maybe this area is kind of liberal for JWs.

Every good WT believing JW knows that "the most accurate translation" is the NWT ;)
