They are saying boldly in black and white that we should give our continued loyalty etc to the Governing Body itself. I've never seen the GB referred to so overtly in terms of loyalty to "the faithful steward/slave". And there's the accompanying demand for everyone else not to elevate themselves. The contrast is quite striking.

It smacks of a quiet desperation by the GB. They're obviously nervous about the large increases in partakers the last three years. I think the Society is being bombarded with letters and questions lately about this. Are we seeing the GB about to start a campaign of "beating" their fellow slaves to keep them in total submission?

If the anointed remnant are not involved in revealing new truths, but as a composite body they are responsible for feeding the spiritual household, how is this done?

How do female members of the remnant feed the spiritual household?

This is not the same as the preaching work.

After 9 paragraphs of saying nothing they finally make their point in paragraph 10:

"However, were all spirit-anointed Christians involved in overseeing the preaching work and in preparing spiritual food? No. The apostle Paul tells us: "Not all are apostles, are they? Not all are prophets, are they? Not all are teachers, are they?" Not all perform powerful works, do they?" (1 Cor. 12:29) Although all spirit-begotten Christians engaged in the preaching work, only a very limited number-just eight different men-were used to write the 27 books of the Christian Greek Scriptures."

I think there are some things to point out here.

Which of the things on this list would the WT actually accept that they are?

    • Apostles
    • Prophets
    • Teachers
    • Preformers of Powerful Works

They would probably say that they are teachers but they also refer to non-anointed as teachers all the time as well. I suppose if pressed they would have to come up with some reason as to why the greek word for teacher in this instance meant more than just teaching from the scriptures but rather spirit directs blah blah blah

So basically all the get from this verse is the idea that there can be different roles, but who cares about what the specific roles are.

What effect should the above facts have on the ever-increasing great crowd who hope to live forever on earth? As part of the Kings belongings, they are happy to cooperate fully with the arrangements made by the Governing Body, which represents the "faithful and discreet slave."

Don't you just love how they are always going to tell you how you are going to feel!

This is a pretty bold thing for the GB to say while also denying they are not "inspired" (where is that quote where they deny being inspired like the bible writers were!)!

Out of one corner of their mouth they deny being inspired, deny being prophets, deny that the anointed have any more special insight than many of the great crowd...and out of the other corner of their mouth they are here comparing themselves to the writers of the NT!!!

    Such hubris.

They want the authority of someone who is acting at the direction of God, but none of the responsibility.

does anyone know the count of the partakers THIS year?

does anyone know the count of the partakers THIS year? The GB also says that no one can interpret the true meaning of the bible except through them and what they write in the watchtower. Sounds like they are demanding special treatment because they are the anointed to me.

Why do they insist on using Romans 8 in para 12 again? Again they take a passage of scripture that clearly says ALL christians MUST be spirit begotten sons or they will die, and twist it to say it only means them!

Nothing makes me angrier than their use of this scripture. Its the one that freed me from them - once I read it in context. Now they're using it again to keep people captive.

I so pity the JW's sitting there in their sunday finest having to swallow such lies.
