Well planes aren't public property they are private. However I don't think the federal government should be able to tell you that you can't take your gun on a plane! What if you have to shoot a snake?

I think it should be up to the airlines. Ok so southwest would be cool with you packing... Delta is based on atlanta thats pretty back woods so they might too!

    Just to get specific...

You can check your unloaded firearm and have it arrive with you at your destination. There is a procedure for this.

Of course, that won't help you with the snakes.

    mkr,

now you've got my mind going. So private companies could make the rules for their stores. So Wal-Mart says ok bring your guns, and Target says no. Hahaha What a world.

The big news, IMHO, is that the 9th Circuit Incorporated the 2nd Amendment as a part of the 14th Amendment.

Bingo. Talk about a pyrrhic victory for the gun-grabbing county executive. She got the gun shows banned from county property, but accidently got the 2nd incorporated in the process!

I could care less. I pack at Wally World anyway.

Wal-Mart is fine with guns. You can even Open Carry in Wal-Mart.

I do NOT open carry, however. It attracts too much attention, even here is the South.

The Supreme Court will eventually have to weigh in on the Incorporation question. They will likely agree with the 9th Circuit, if it reaches the current group of Justices.

What do you mean "the current group of Justices" LWT?

The current Supreme Court. If they decide on the issue of Incorporation, it is not unreasonable to think they may say 'Yes'. This, based on how they voted in the Heller decision. It could be another 5-4 decision, with the same pattern of voting as Heller.

    It's just a guess.
