Well, now he's even weirder than before. It won't last. It will fade. I remember back when I was a child it was always the "big event" that world-famous author Mickey Spillane had become a JW. That sure didn't last. He went right back to his old lifestyle and left the JWs in the dust! But it gave my parents and their friends something to gossip about.

2. Dress modestly. What you wear sends out a message to others. Back in Bible times, wearing certain styles of clothing branded a person as being immoral or promiscuous. (Proverbs 7:10) The same is often true today; tight, flashy, or revealing clothing can attract the wrong kind of attention. True, some may feel they have a right to wear whatever they desire. But as writer Elizabeth Powell puts it, "if you worked among people who believed stealing money was okay, I'd tell you not to wear your billfold on your hip. . . . You have to recognize the sickness of . . . society's attitudes and try to protect yourself from being victimized by them."

The Bible's advice is thus up-to-date. It admonishes women to "adorn themselves in well-arranged dress, with modesty and soundness of mind." (1 Timothy 2:9) Dress modestly, and you may be less likely to be a target of abusive speech or actions.

This is true not only in the military but in all organizations and institutions and in society as a whole. The same rules do NOT apply to everyone.

In this, the JWs are no exception.

How utterly true, willyloman!!!! As evidenced by the fact that Rutherford had two 16 cylinder caddies and a mansion in San Diego, but witnesses don't have a "clergy class" and all are equal......obviously, some are more equal than others!!!

I recently being told of a sister from my old congregation going out with a brother from another congregation. In passing the the person telling me said "Oh and he has dreadlocks." What!!

I'm quite sure that if the Williams sisters, Serena and Venus both donate thousands if not millions of $$$$$ to the WT society - they probably don't get hassled much at all for wearing suggestive clothing outside the kingdom hall , or for even posing naked if they want to - like Serena did in the flower behind the back naked picture ! As long as they contribute large sums of money - the GB won't care what they do ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Ever send a jw a pic of Serena in one of her own creations? oh my! they get quite upset! my jw thought I was sending him porn! haha, I said no, it was just an example of what a jw could wear. He was in a real snit about that for a few days. To give him a break though he was a new convert and truly believed all jw's were wonderful and no lust or sin went on in dubland. Did I mention they had sucked his brain out by this time already?
