I really don't see how anybody can be an atheist. I totally understand why the Sky Daddy god can be rejected but, to say there is no intelligence behind the creation of our world just doesn't make sense to me. It's like looking at the blob of grey matter we call the brain and only seeing the tissue and the neurons firing. You can't see the consciousness, the thoughts themselves, the emotions, the creative ideas that ignite the brain, the experiences we call Life, or a million other things guiding and directing our choices everyday.

This is where faith comes in. You just know based on something so deep inside that you have full assurance in its reality.

Why can't theist respect the way atheist feel, believe, etc... Why is your way the "right way". I don't see how anyone can believe in god, but if you do then go for it.

I feel about the belief in god the same as you do about the non belief in god. To each his own, it doesn't make you better than me and it certainly doesnt' mean my life is a waste.

We are an accident. We have no purpose. There is no reason for us to be here.

I'm not an accident, I do have a purpose and there are many reasons I'm here alive and kicking.

The atheist will say that he finds fulfillment in relationships, hobbies, maybe just a good beer. But when those relationships close, those hobbies bore, and that beer stales, what then?

This is just an all out ridiculous statement.

An atheist, truly alone, has no reason to weather the hardships of life.

I'm not alone by any means and I weather hardships of life just as anyone else does on this earth.

Why bother? He or she is just an accident.

Again, I'm not an accident and I have a very full productive life that gives me plenty of reason to "bother with living"

But as for us, we always have Jesus. When nothing else is left, we still

have a Rock upon which we trust. We have reason to persevere.

We have hope.

Because we have faith

If that's what you need to get you through the day, the week or just life in general good for you!

Don't like it? By all means, don't read the thread, don't take it personally, and no need to respond either. BTW, you can also apply the same questions you asked and your comments back to yourself:

I do respect theist for what they believe as I said to each his own in case you have a problem comprehending that it means that I don't knock what you believe at all. If that makes you happy I'm glad for you.

Well, duh. Of course you can respond to any thread that you wish to. I never said you couldn't.

But the threads obviously upset you. I just do not understand and I have trouble comprehending why you seek out and desire something that you find offensive. I never knew you were that kinky. But now that I know, I hold you in even higher regard.
