    IPv6 is a solution to a different problem: address space. Latest report from ARIN is that we have about 2 years of IPv4 address space left.

    Well then what exactly is he referring to by running out of room? Bandwidth? There's a lot of dark fiber out there, and with the eventual deployment of 100 Gbps ethernet I don't forsee the internetworking infrastructure coming crashing down anytime soon.

    I heard they were going to put exterior hard-drives in the ocean in waterproof containers, powered by solar batteries and with wireless capabilities. That way, there will be plenty of room on the internet. The Stimulus Package will pay for it all. There will be hard-drives in every ocean so the sun will be shining on some of them all the time.
