Presidential historians are calling him the worst president in US history. And the historians can't be idiots; they have Master's Degrees.
Post 9/11, he had the highest approval rating of any president in history.
Which is not surprising, considering that most people are lemmings known for idealizing a hero when they need one. The first foreign attack on US soil in a long time, especially one that destroyed some of our beloved landmarks and disrupted the financial epicenter of the world, happened to be a time when they needed a hero. Hell, even people who hated cops suddenly became their fans.

Bush probably would have made a good comedian, but he made for what historians on both sides of the party line consider to be in the top ten "worst presidents" we've ever had in the USA.

According to the votes of 65 presidential historians, George W. Bush was the country's 36th best president. That would make him, with 42 presidents total in U.S. history, the 7th worst president.
So don't call him the worst, at least for now. Unless you are willing to tango with 65 historians who together say otherwise.
