Very poor participation on this lesson at the local Kingdumb Hall today. Even for "believers" there was nothing here to get excited about, just da boys in B'klyn patting themselves on the back. Everybody just gave the underline-able answers. Then it was over... and pretty much forgotten.

blondie,
One of the reasons why I have not read your weekly WT studies is I really don't want to read the WT in any context.
Even so, I read this one, and I thought to myself that I have really been missing out on the common sense thinking that you bring out in your critique.
I see your examination of certain words and thoughts that are second to none, and I thank you so much for trying to open the eyes of those who just glaze over the WT without a second thought.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, dear lady for taking the time to make us think.

Another stellar job Blondie!!
"As individual Christians, how do we view the timely spiritual food that the faithful slave dispenses by means of Bible-based publications and through Christian gatherings?"
Made me sick to think about how many have suffered unnecessarily - even died - as a result of following this uninspired dispensation...
Blondie as ever a great commentary.
Have you noticed that when they speak of doctrinal falsehood they set their own standards?
"Doctrinal Falsehood" covers all the beliefs of OTHER "Babylonish" religions with which the Gibbering Buddy disagrees.
If doctrinal falsehood actually means teaching something incorrect, then your list of flip flops more than adequately shows how they have been doing EXACTLY that.
All the dramatic changes in doctrines over the last five years proves that they have been teaching falsehood. Else why change anything??

I am amazed at the way they can have the title of follow the lamb, but the whole article is about the loyalty not to Jesus, not to Jehovah, not to the annointed....but to the GB.
Thanks again for your wonderful work Blondie, appreciated more than you realize!
How is anyone going to be blessed by following the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger? About all there is is waiting for the next thing they choose to ban, the next thing they impose, and what rules they are going to post next. From what I have seen, life inside the witless religion has gotten steadier more dull and boring, with all the fun sucked out of it.
Most of the comments allowed at the Washtowel study will be almost identical to what is in the paragraph. I wonder if that's why they even waste the time reading the damn paragraphs--so people can give comments in the exact words of the paragraph. And, as per the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger, one is not allowed to extend research to outside sources or to do independent study of the Bible itself, lest they be found to be false prophets.
thanks Blondie
14. How can loyal support be given to Christ's brothers?
14 Jesus Christ considers the loyal support given to his brothers as being given to him. (Read Matthew 25:40.) In what way, then, can those who have the earthly hope support Christ's spirit-anointed brothers? Principally by helping them with the Kingdom-preaching work. (Matt. 24:14; John 14:12) While the number of anointed ones on the earth has decreased over the decades, the number of the other sheep has increased. When those who have an earthly hope share in the witness work, serving if possible as full-time evangelizers, they support the spirit-anointed ones in fulfilling the disciple-making assignment. (Matt. 28:19, 20) Not to be overlooked are the opportunities to support this work by making financial contributions in various ways.
I imagine not many Witnesses even know for sure if the number has increased or decreased. I suppose the numbers they do publish of partakers does not coincide with the number they believe to be annoited?
Great WT study article!!! We need more of such study articles!!! Iam serious!!!
When we got home from KH with my zealous JW wife we had during the day several very serious discussions. I pointed to several points in this article to show JW are not gods, but human organization, sect and nonchristian cult... She cried a little bit, had nothing to answer and agreed to start together with me NT reading to see whether JWs follow pattern of 1st century christians or not. She would never agree on that several months ago.
Please, if you have any influence on GB, let them make more such articles!!! Please Please!!!

This got me
Q4. "Yes, Jehovah provides direction to the slave. We can therefore have full confidence in the Scriptural insight, understanding, and guidance that we receive from the slave."
So how does Jehovah provide this direction? Holy Spirit? No, the GB don't claim to be inspired so it can't be that.
What about email? Does God text? A nicely penned letter maybe? Or what about stone tablets? Worked for Moses
