If it's a poor hall and fire breaks out you and the speaker are last to leave......B.B.Q Witness!

It's really pretty simple. They don't want to be there.

Imagine attending a concert featuring your favorite group/singer; there is no way the front seats would be empty for a second. You'd fight to get to the front row. Plus you'd pay to attend.

If, as they claim, they were really dispensing life-giving spiritual food direct from God, who wouldn't want a front row seat?

When we were much younger my brothers and friends would like to sit in the VERY front seats to try to make the other laugh or fumble while giving a talk!

    Some fun we had.

Because of their awesome humility... lol

Actually, I think it because most JW's are shy and/or do not want to be observed by the elders.

"Maybe it would be good if you just had a big DF tattooed on my forehead so people would know!!! Oh yeah, I told him too, that he needed to make sure all the people in good standing sit in the front rows!!!!"

I actually remember a sister who wore a badge at the assembly that said she was disfellowshipped.

Don't think you are joking... they made a very dear friend of mine wear a pin-on badge (just like the conventions!) that said "Disfellowshipped"

I give up. Maybe they don't like a bunch of people they don't like sitting behind them. That'd be my reason.

My first thought is that it's easier to get out between meetings if you are near the back. The weaker I became the farther back I sat!
