I don't want Hopscotch's thread diverted anymore than it has been so I'm starting this one.
This is an opportunity to speak up and let us know how you actually feel about Jesus Christ. Let's face it, for good or ill he was a major influence in all of our lives. Frankly, I think the Biblical Jesus is despicable and I'll be posting my views in full tomorrow after a good nights sleep.

I think there are too many similarities between him and the Egyptian god Horus. The Egyptian book of the dead was written some 1300 years before the gospels.

I would disagree that Christ has had an impact on our lives. Instead, I would assert that the mythogical aspect of christian belief has had an impact on our lives. Christian belief is not informed by the man Christ, but instead by tradition and corporate leadership and thought.
