I stumbled across this on another site. Believe me, I take it with a grain of salt; it's 2nd & 3rd hand info (the poster does acknowledge this fact) but it is interesting none the less. ya never know...

I hope this poster does not mind me linking to this.

I wouldn't be surprised by defections and rebellion.

I would. That's what this cult needs though- more rebellions in more places!

Well, whether or not they are rumors, the internet is the perfect medium for turning them into "truth". Take one cup of wishful thinking....

Well shouldn't the writing department be carefully guided by the faithful and discreet slave.....the governing body??? And outside of different hues of new light, it appears that lately there has just been a lot of rehashing old stuff....

the Chicago area is undergoing rebellion by a number of congregation elder bodies that refuse to comply with certain WT HQ directives.

    I heard that too.

Apparently the Society wants the elders in the Chicago area to remove all the Obama posters inside the KH's and not refer to the brother in charge of territories as the Community Organizer.

Certainly this doesn't serve as any kind of proof, but wouldn't you be more surprised to hear that everyone on the writing staff was in agreement?

Sure, for the average J-Dub, it's easy to sidestep the weirdness. But for someone whose job it is to find the reasonings, fact-check (very loosely) with historical sources, make sure it's in line with all the former constantly-shifting doctrine? I'd say you have to be a seriously mind-numbed zombie NOT to have frequent cases of head-pounding, stomach-churning nausea.

You can only suppress it for so long. If you write for the Watchtower, you're going to figure things out eventually.

Perhaps the July Awake! saying persons should not be forced to worship against their will has caused heads to roll. Hmmmm.
