When hubby(A JW) found out he was dying they came in to discuss organ donor with him...he almost screamed at them. NO!..It really got me thinking how wonderful it would be to help someone with your death... Then when a close friend recently died he donated his body to science..he died from emphesema. I thought that was such a loving thing to do. He did it for all the right reason. To help research.
He owned several medical centers and had worked with Doctors all his adult life. He was on several hospital panels and worked along side his wife in a soup kitchen almost to his last day.
Sorry this is a little off topic from blood,but sort of similar as a JW teaching. Seeing how it made the young man so happy(giving blood) made me realize how much people could be helped also by organ donor which they also forbid.
