Do you suppose there is a form of human life somewhere else in the universe?

I wouldn't bet on it. There most likely is animal life on other planets. And there may be intelligent creatures. But the chance of them being like humans would be extremely small.

Has life evolved on other planets? Highly probable. Almost a certainty.
Has multicellular life evolved on other planets? Very probable.
Has vertebrate animal life evolved on other planets? Probable.
Has endothermic vertebrate animal life evolved on other planets? Quite possibly.
Has mammilian animal life evolved on other planets? It is possible.
Have primates evolved on other planets? Possible, but not likely.
Have intelligent bipedal primates evolved on other planets? Again, possible, but very unlikely.
Have intelligent bipedal primates with advanced civilization evolved on other planets? Probably not.
Have intelligent bipedal primates with space faring capabilities evolved on other planets? Very improbable.
Do intelligent bipedal primates of the third planet of the star called Sol think that all intelligent beings that may evolve in the Universe will look like them? Hubris?

Sure, why not.

I doubt it. The chances of them evolving to be like us is infinitessimaly small. For there to be humans on other planets, they would, of necesity have to have originated from earth. However, the chances of there being life elswhere is really high, imo.

I think if one was an atheist and believed soley in the big bang and the universe was infinite, wouldn't it be mathematically impossible that there wouldn't be life elsewhere? If one were a believer in God, why would God make only one planet in all the vastness of the universe with life on it? rather egotistical to think we were the only ones isn't it?
By 'human' life I am assuming you mean intelligent life as we explain human not that they necessarily look just like us.

Isn't 'human' a species desigantion, like simian, or crocodillian? Try substituting simian in the thread's title to see how it affects the meaning.

Of course there must be.

The universe is so vast that statistically speaking the chances are 100% that there are literally MILLIONS of planets with life on them in the universe. The chance that some of them at least have human 'like' life? Oh yeah there are plenty of them out there!
