Lets take that one step further. Jehovah's Witnesses are an apostate recruiting machine. They insist that before baptism one writes a letter officially resigning from their former faith, in effect, making them on the record apostates.

I wonder if they do that to break the bonds and make it difficult psychologically for ex-JWs to return to their original faith. Or is it just a way to try to insult "Christendom" to their face. I see no real reason for it. People change religions all the time simply by deciding to attend and join a new church.

Before someone gets baptized as a JW, they must submit a written resignation letter to their previous church/faith, informing them that they no longer wish to be part of their religion or on their membership rolls, and that they please remove any record as such.

I left in much the same manner.... I didn't want to be on their membership rolls either.

I have made it quite clear to my wife that, because I never joined the religion of my birth and she joined, then left, her Anglican faith, she is the only Apostate in our house.

    Cheers

In theory I am a threat, but not really....all the changes between May 07 and now have taken a toll.

So many in my KH don't really give a flip about what the WTS/GB say or do, they just go because they aren't trinitarians, their families are JW or they made a decision to drop their families years ago to become JWs..... this is their tradition and worship ritual....motions, just going through the motions

Trying to do the BF thing is failing miserably, they are just that ill-informed. They regurgitate the WT lit in the meeting but they stopped 'digesting' the spiritual provisions.

Oh well I guess it is better then being true-blue ........

Officially I tried to leave this time last year but was blackmailed back by the end of August...... They like me, they really really like me.....

It's my experience that the churches want you to do this also. It doesn't look good for their statistics to have members on the rolls who will never be counted in attendance.

My threat is to hinder the Unholy Spirit by slapping Jehovah in the face (and hopefully causing Him to be insulted, removing His Unholy Spirit from the witlesses). I also like to waste their time making them wonder which congregation I am going to (and they still seem to think I am going to the other congregation). Either way, it wastes their energy that could have been used to further spread the cancer.
