As for the organisation - all religions are such ""havens"" - people don't know how to break free and come to accept their lot - it's the minority that leave: put a frog in lukewarm water it won't jump out, even when you increase the temp slowly, the frog stays put, not realise he's actually going to be cooked alive.

than the worldly Jails.
They also have stronger handcuffs,chains on the feet
& they restrain the hearts of all their followers.
Forbidding "visitors" especially family....

Yep 4 words or five paragraphs we can still arrive at the same destination, just one has a nicer view thats all. Live in the now is great when you have it, but being told to have it when you don't can leave you feeling less than and even more frustrated. Having insight is nothing if it it isn't mixed with a generous hug of empathy.

yes you are right and the point I was making is that the bars and chains are only as strong as we allow them to be. We talk in metaphors so much so because our combined experience is about the emotional, so we have to give it form with the words we use. LouBelle is totally right in what she says and it is all about living in the now. I am not frightened on what is going to happen in ten minutes or tomorrow if anything I am excited. I have an accountability to myself to get it right. Most of my life has been about living with the fear. That is simply not the case anymore.

Fear was letting the "ELDERS" know I didnt believe Jesus came in 1914.
So I too have lived in FEAR!!! The only fear I have now
Is not being able to cuddle my JW daughter & grand-daughter before I die.
I am FREE from the WT ,,,,But living in the NOW!!!
Can be difficult because I have to remember that the big stick

Well now I know why you call yourself mouthy, though hairdryer might be more appropriate and I mean that most lovingly. There is obviously much about each other that we don't know or indeed share on this forum. but I do maintain my point of view. I was dragged into a cemetery when I was nine by a pedophile. Abuse is abuse and damage is damage in or out of the organisation. Believe me I know what fear tastes like.
The experiences we all have within our lives are going to differ but the outcome is going to be the same, we are all capable of looking ourselves in the eye and living for today and tomorrow without fear, hatred or anger. it does take some doing sometimes and an inner strength to realise what we cant change and to manipulate what we can. I am very sorry about the circumstances with your daughter and thankfully my daughter and I are close. I did accept that if she had chosen the organisation, then I would have to get on with my life. That is the choice I could affect as can you. I believe our human time is just that, a time to be human. I also believe in a higher experience of eternity and enlightenment that is untouchable by the organisation or any other pollutant.
