I know of a Guy who was DF'd for over 12 years,all the time he was on at Elders in different Congo's that he moved to to get himself back in,of course they referred things to the original JC who informed them that he had made no effort to put things right so he could not come back,not repentant. (it was a money matter)
He finally cracked it though,is now back in.
What is the longest such case you know of? where someone was trying to get back in and failed for years?

18 years a sister in our cong tried to come back...she has a personality disorder....never could control her emotions..told the truth. It held her back for years..poor thing came back and then was avoided as people knew she was drinking, she is an alcoholic.

I was out nine years and went back
40 years from 1935 to 1975! He got appointed as an elder in the 80's. He is probably dead by now.
Crapola can probably give more exact dates, but my grandfather, her father-in-law, was DFed for approx. 25 years. He eventually had a massive stroke, was bed-ridden, and got a deathbed reinstatement.
The guy I was talking about had perpetrated some sort of business fraud, I think he caught some of the Elders in his original Congo. for quite a bit of cash,they don't forgive that very easily!
I think he claimed it was just the business failing,they thought different,so I think in the end he must have made some token reparation to get back in.

I know of a guy in Connecticut who was in the same boat. Screwed a couple of elders in a business deal, then took over 10 years to get reinstated. Poor soul couldn't figure out this org. wasn't guided by god.
I've got a cousin who was df'd for smoking when he was young. I believe it's been close to 40 plus years.....He is the sweetest guy in the world.
Thankfully he ignored the WTBS and went on with his life..Some of the family still plays the games about DFing. He is brilliant...a math major, and college teacher of the same.
