I love the B 52's. Believe it or not, slap in a greatest hits CD and it can be fun, romantic sexy music. Yes, Purple, they are an Athens band, just like REM. Georgia has cranked out many, many great musicians, singers and bands. It must be the soul and something in the water.

Lucky you that you got to see them live.

Kate Pierson collaborated with The Ramones, in the early 1980s on the song, "Chop Suey", with Cindy Wilson and Debbie Harry.

And yet you say modern music is crap.

John do you realize the B-52's have been around close to 20 years? I didn't say all modern music is crap, sweetheart. I said it can't easily be found by tuning into TV or the radio. You're such a pleasant poster John, a real asset to the board. Hope no one votes you off the show.

You said that you can't find good music by turniing on the top 40 today, and you have to go digging to find anything good. Your words sweetheart.

Good music that is. I hear some occasional good music on 96.1 in Grand Rapids. The station plays a mix of 80's and a handful of good songs from the past five years.

That's right John. You can find a handful of exceptional songs on Top 40 radio as opposed to even the 1990's when you could find an abundance of good music. John, I hope one day you get some good therapy. You'd be a much more pleasant fellow. Out of all the years I've been reading and posting here at JWD, I cannot recall a poster with a bigger chip on his shoulder or who is more annoying.

I will be going to see them at our riverbend festival in a couple of weeks. I expect it should be fun. Also Train, 3 dog night, commodores, Willie Nelson, and Little Richard (tho I think I'll skip that one) It's sad they have to resort to such menial venues but hey. Last year I saw America who I loved as a younger person....they were still great.

I saw Train a few years back and they were great LIVE!! I think you will enjoy them.

Willie was here the same time b-52's performed on a different stage, skipped him, have seen him before~

would not mind seeing 3 Dog Night, let me know how they were!
