Since you have taken so much time in answering questions and commenting, I ask one more question:

Could you elaborate on who wrote certain books and brochures etc.? I know you have written about articles you have contributed to, and also that CoC lists the authors of some of the books, but do you remember at least some authors of some books / brochures / special articles?

Rarely did I hear who wrote what unless there was a reason for knowing. Here's a few names that I remember, but with qualifications.

Bklt: How Can Blood Save Your Life? 1990: Eugene Smalley

Bklt: Should You Believe in the Trinity? Harry Peloyan

Insight on the Scriptures, Vol. 1 and 2: Compiled by Karl Adams. He oversaw about 50 people at one point or another who were assigned subjects.

Jehovah's Witnesses-Proclaimers of God's Kingdom: Karl Adams and David Iannelli

Questions Young People Ask: Lee Waters

Revelation-Its Grand Climax At Hand: Robert Pevy

All Scripture Inspired of God: Robert Pevy

Reasoning From The Scriptures: Karl Adams

    Yearbooks: Karl Adams

The Truth That Leads to Eternal Life: Harry Peloyan

Happiness-How to Find it? Lee Waters

Life-How Did it Get Here? By Evolution or by Creation?: Harry Peloyan

    Awesome question!

Next question: How is it determined that these publications are 'food at the proper time?' What is the criteria for this?

Just wanted to thank you Barb for all the time you spend with us on the board and the insider info .

I'm not the least bit surprised that the book on evolution and the booklet on the Trinity were written by one and the same person.

The blatant level of intellectual dishonesty is a real eye-opener. Either that person seriously denies and deludes himself or he knowingly without qualms distorts things.

When I was in Writing (now called "Editorial Department), there's wasn't one writer who professed to be "anointed." That should answer the question if any of the books I listed were written by any of the anointed. The three GB who ran the dept. were in order of power, Lloyd Barry, Jack Barr, Karl Klein. All three anointed (of course), were not writing when I was there. I was told the last thing that Klein wrote was that horrible "tacking the boat" WT article to explain away 1975.

Another thing I was told: The last bit of Writing Lloyd did was to rewrite parts of the "original" Revelation book when Pevy finished because he didn't like many of the explanations. (So the editing changes were done by one of the "anointed."

Peloyan was known to have outside JWs do quite a bit of writing for him. I have wondered if he checked the sources for Trinity and Creation, or just included material he received in the literature he was working on. If so that could be the reason why there's such problems with sources being taken out of context as many XJWs have pointed out in the past.

    Thansk for the info, Barbara.

Revelation-Its Grand Climax At Hand: Robert Pevy

It's amazing that the same person wrote what I regard as one of WTS best books (All Scripture), and also the one I despise most as full of fallacies and truth stretching (Revelation).

The Trinity brochure was published (89) after I left (86), but I noticed some similarities with earlier material which was produced by the French Writing dept. (especially Leonard Smith) in the early 80s (e.g. the "Divine Name" brochure, which I translated into French, although the first draft was produced by the French Writing dept. and then thoroughly "rewritten" by someone in "Brooklyn"). Same for several patristic articles into the 90s (with a lot of French quotes).

There is little difference, so far as I can tell, between the Insight books and the Aid book.
