Yes, UK or British Isles would be more accurate to say than Britain. Andy introduced me to so many UK bands. The music and fashions were so otherworldly.
Have any of you seen Son of Rambow? At first I thought the movie took place during the present, but as the movie progressed I realized it took place during the 1980's. It's a good movie because one of the main characters is a boy whose mother and grandmother are raising he and his sister in the Plymouth Bretheren. Any former JW will appreciate that part of the plot especially.

When I lived on Oahu in 2002, Hawaii was in a time warp. All the restaurants played New Wave music. It just sort of fit with the whole otherworldy atmosphere of the Islands.

The best song the Bangles ever did. Maybe because Susannah Hoffs didn't sing the lead. It sounds so 60's.
