  The Watchtower Observer was what I "grew up" on - long gone. You can see what it looked like here:

  Watchtower Information Service more recently was excellent.

  Beyond Jehovah's Witnesses was another excellent site precisely because it was so mild and definitely not apostate-in-your-face style.

  But among those still running I would highly recommend Spotlight Ministries run by Vince who helped persuade me the Witnesses are wrong even if he did not succeed in convincing me Christians are right:

  The writings of Ron Frye, including his "The Christian Respondent" essays are available online and by mail order. If a doubting JW wants to get his teeth into some solid information and examination of the WTS teachings this is an excellent resource.

  No, those site don't tell us what to believe. They confirm the niggling doubt that we had about the "truth" that could not be voiced in the bOrg, that what we thought was "truth" is truely a lie.

  MK - The sites I referred to were strictly Watchtower quotations - how the hell does that tell me or anyone what to believe?

  • It tells me how big a liar the organization is
  • - it tells me how duplicitous they have been
  • - it shows me how they have failed in every single prediction they ever made
  • - it tells me that they never understood biblical eschatology at all
  • - it shows me how they have flip-flopped when it fit them -

  It is their own teachings that prove them to be what they are - I am not surprised that dyed in the wool subscribers to the lies cannot understand any of that.

  Now - there is a site that will tell you precisely what you should believe - I think it is sponsored by the WTBTS of NY. Though I never visit it - BECAUSE I DETEST CULTS!

  Thanx Mary - I have bookmarked it.

  Besty and Randy - I like the new site [what I have seen of it] - I just miss the 'spiritual food at the proper time' section. I cannot find that anywhere on your site. That was the portion that I used, because it was WTS quotes and no commentary. The chronological order was perfect for research.

  Hi AK-Jeff,

  I have heard a number of people found Quotes to be the starting point for their exit. It is easier as a JW to justify reading Watchtower literature alone without commentary, being afraid as they are of apostates.

  I am about to launch a facelift for JWfacts. The next project is to include a quotes section. It is a large job so will take a couple of months.
