    Yea, mon, I tink tis mostly from Jamaica they be!

    Crazy as loons, the lot of them.

    My estranged hubby found one in Mobile who is from Panama.

    He was en route to Houston to visit his daughter.

    A most handsome man he was, too.

    Thanks for the insights. I've always been fascinated with the U.K. but have never been able to visit. --Not even once

    alright Brummies calm down...I made it clear I was generalizing - how can you talk about a region that is a few hundred sq miles for people that live 5000 miles away without a few sterotypes?

    I did say Glasgow was also in decay :-) and that Edinburgh was up it's own {!}

    Disclosure - I left Scotland in 1997 to live, work and have fun in London. I left London for Los Angeles in 2008 for the same reasons.

    Besty, i aint a brummie either!!! I'm from the black country, birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, pride of the Midlands!

    Sylvia, there is a large Jamaican population in Wolverhampton, there's an Indian population too. I have some fond memories of samosa's and pakora's at the Punjabi assemblies and also of Jamaican bun and cheese, some of the older Jamaican sisters used to make :-)

    Next you'll be telling me Coventry is 'Gateway to Shakespeare Country' or something :-)

    Any more regional participants?

    I don't know what accent Reniaa has but it issues from a forked tongue I believe.
