Just because a person has been abused does not mean they are going to become an abuser. Less than 1/4 of the people that have been abused go on to be abusers themselves.

He was too young to die. Michael Jackson was really something incredible during his heydey. I never believed he was a molester. I am actually sad, as I was saddened to see him slowly come apart over the years. RIP, MJ. Maybe now you can finally find the healing you needed.

Somehow his death crystallises the passing of an age that can never be recaptured. And it seems strange to be dissecting the event's meaning meaning on the web, the technology that perhaps ensures a phenomenon like Michael Jackson will not occur again.

From what I gather, he may have died because of prescription medication. He admitted a long time ago to being addicted to prescription pain meds, and lord knows when you're a celebrity, there's no shortage of doctors willing to doll out pills.
IMO, alot of Michael's psychological problems were caused by the horrific abuse he suffered at the hands of their abusive father. Joe Jackson was mentally, emotionally and physically abusive and those scars stay with you for life. Michael was emotionally stunted which is why he had turned his life into a fairy-tale and preferred the company of little kids to adults.
Was he a pedophile? While I doubt he actually raped any child, I believe that there was probably alot of 'touchy-feely' things going on during his uh, 'sleep overs.' Lets face it: If a guy who looked like him lived in your neighbourhood and had sleep overs with 10 year old boys and admitted they slept in the same bed, would you let your kid hang around him? I doubt it. People however, are blinded to reality when it comes to celebrities and somehow think they're 'different' than the rest of us.
With that said, I know what it's like to lose a family member before their time so his family has my utmost sympathy.

Sorry Mouthy, but I don't love child molesters like you do. This is not a shortcoming I plan on working on.
Some try to excuse him saying he was troubled or whatever. ALL child molesters have mental issues. That's not a valid excuse for what he DID.
