    >> If it's so obvious that he molested those kids, why couldn't they prove it in 2005

Apparently you're not familiar with the American judicial system.

I agree - the first case that was settled out of court was the more interesting one.

And did you people pay attention during the trial? Why was he giving alcohol to children? Why was he showing them porn?

And for those of you who say he was just a kid himself, and not interested in sex. Look at what he did in PUBLIC, and tell me this was an innocent child in a man's body.

MICHAEL Jackson was not a child molester, a Territorian who stayed with the superstar when he was 11 said yesterday.

Pharmacist Billy Ramirez said that the singer was mostly misunderstood.

"He's got a child-like personality. From a young age, he was a performer. He didn't have a childhood.

"Michael was never allowed to grow up.

"When you miss out on something in your life, you want to recapture it later on. But having an adult hanging around with children is not acceptable nowadays."

Mr Ramirez stayed with Jackson for six weeks in 1988.

He said the entertainer was never anything more than friendly and generous.

"All the allegations against him distressed me.

"When you met Michael, he was just a nice bloke."

Mr Ramirez met Jackson while following his Bad tour in Australia. He was shocked and saddened to hear of his friend's death.

    "I can't believe it.

"At first I thought it was just a rumour. And then when it was confirmed, I was very sad."

He said Jackson had endured health problems in the past few years and was probably training too hard for his 50 sell-out concerts in London later this year.

Mr Ramirez, 32, who works at a Darwin pharmacy, said that he lost contact with Jackson a few years ago.

"I used to write to him but I haven't for a while."

Jackson invited Mr Ramirez and his two sisters, Tamil and Lana, to his hotel room after reading how they had spent every cent they had to follow his concert circuit around Australia.

Brin..........Why do you keep bringing out certain individual children stating they were never molested by MJ, this guy made

thousands of friendships with children , some who eventually got closer with him than others.....big deal.

Your trying to prove a point in this manner is redundantly weak and ineffective .

Charles Manson never killed me, therefore you should believe he's innocent of killing anyone.

I've never seen a silent lambs survivor actually molested and there weren't two witnesses, therefore it didn't happen.

It's all about opinions, Brinjen, and you have yours, thanks. Just because this idiot passed on and he made good music does not erase his past. He was a very hated man, and I for one don't feel like getting on the group hug thing. He wasn't my friend, I don't know him, I will never know him, and I don't think he was your friend either. (although I could be wrong)

He wasn't liked at all, and his past was pretty apperant. But hey, some people think OJ never did it either, LOL.

Taylor collapsed after learning of Jackson's death

Screen legend Dame Elizabeth Taylor sparked a medical emergency of her own on Thursday when she collapsed in her Hollywood home after hearing about the tragic death of her longtime friend Michael Jackson.

A representative for Taylor, who coined the phrase King of Pop as she presented him with an award in 1989, claimed the Oscar-winner was "too devastated" to comment on the superstar's death in the hours following the shocking news.

But it's now emerged the actress, 77, is recovering from her own health scare, which prompted her personal physician to make a late visit to her home on Thursday.

According to In Touch magazine, Taylor was preparing to dash to UCLA Medical Center in California to be by Jackson's bedside when she was told of his untimely demise.

A source says, "Liz was getting dressed when the second call came that Michael had died, and she collapsed. Liz is in a state of shock.

"She and Michael had their ups and downs, but she never stopped loving him. Now, she's grief-stricken beyond words."

BRINJEN- In order to " get the creep behind bars " as you state the parents of a molestation victim have to have lots of $$$$ to continue the court proceedings which could last for years and years ! So THAT is one big reason that parents take a payoff at times. It's one of the big reasons that the 16 witness molestation victims took their payoff in California 2 years ago by the WT society. AND - Keeping a child in court month after month and year after year traumatizes them further and makes them re-live the emotionally awful experience again and again. So it's quite understandable that parents would be forced to accept a payoff before an abuser is put away in prison. Just can't afford to keep going to the court systems and afford high priced attorneys like M. J. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Oh boy, Flipper. It occurred to me today while I was at work. You have this backwards! The expense, stress and the time consumed by a lawsuit is a reason for an innocent person to settle out of court. I'm sure that Michael didn't want to see that poor kid go through all that his parents and their attorney were putting the child through. It would be Michael who had to pay for his lawyers, their lawyer(s), court costs and so on. And if you've ever been through any kind of hearing or lawsuit, even when you are innocent, it takes a huge emotional toll on you and those who love you.

Flipper, you said that me bringing up my grandmother was lame. Well, you didn't read my post well. I understand it was late, so I'll clear this up for you. Just because a child sleeps in the same bed as an adult, it does not mean that adult is molesting the child! Grandmother, mother, friend, it doesn't mean the adult molested the child. It wasn't using good judgement for Michael to have the kids sleep on the bed. It laid him wide open for the first boy's greedy parents and their lawyer to accuse him. It was brought up that that family enjoyed material benefits and other big perks including bragging rights/name dropping, from being invited to Neverland. When Michael made it known to them that they would not be invited anymore, the next thing they did was accuse him of molestation. They had millions of dollars to gain, in addition to revenge. And the second family knew that he caved in and settled for millions of dollars.

It's an allegation that Michael was giving any children alcohol. Kids can be coached to say all kinds of things when their parents pressure them and promise them all kinds of rewards for lying.

Many highly regarded people have faith in Michael's innocence. I think the whole thing stinks strongly of fish.
