the elder body in one particular cong I attended had a reputation of wanting to know every last detail. I thought it was odd and I told them that they are allowed to read between the lines when I told them what I was involved in

As some former, and perhaps current elders have commented, the elders are told in the Flock book not to ask unnecesary questions, unless the purpose is to determine whether Porneia was committed. The Flock book even says penetration is not necessary for Porneia to have taken place.

So some Judical Committee's will ask a lot of questions, and some won't. Depends on the situation and the elders involved. Usually if one elder starts asking questions, the other elders will not interrupt him, to show respect, at least in front of the publisher being "helped."

Gutsy move to tell them off though, wow. I wonder what they said when you left.

I actually had someone in my cong confess to me that he and his wife practiced oral - I just told him that between you and her and no one elses business don't mention it to anyone else(I couldn't in good conscience say anything else ). He was concerned that it might affect the spirit of the congregation - poor guy if only he knew what real sordid stuff goes on within the Cong.

This is another topic outsiders find unbelievable, that elders want a play by play of the actual event. I have read what some jw women have gone through and maybe it is more so if they are considered attractive whether they will be asked such questions or not. For the boys/men who go through it maybe it also depends on if the girl involved is good looking or maybe the elders just have a propensity towards perversion or porn themselves. Jw elders do not need porn as they have access to play by plays and can fantisize with that info.

How any mother or father can let their daughter or son be asked such questions by a bunch of dirty old men is beyond me. Asking the color of panties, which breast or both? how many fingers, who climaxed first and so forth is disgusting. How any woman could stay married to an elder who participtates in this I don't understand either.

jw's who are forced to sit through such invasive jc's will be affected by this forever. Such a traumatic event cannot not affect ones view of sex, sin, and relationships thereafter. So when pervert elders take part in this they are not only abusing the 'sinner' but also may be affecting the sex life of the jw and their future sex life with their spouse. This also can carry through with their view about sex with their children furthering the warped views of sex & relationships to yet another generations and so on.

The elders excuse for needing such details from what I understand is so they can find out if they can add the 'greed' sin to it as well. Was the fornication done with greed? When outsiders hear of this they are torn between disgust and laughter because they can hardly believe it. Then they ask if the elders ever have sex and have they never had 'lustful' sex with their own spouse? do they not understand the 'passion of the moment'? is there really need to add the 'greed' factor? sickos.

Why jw's tell on themselves nobody on the outside understands. At least with the Catholic version of confession it stays private. Strange that the jw's knock the Catholics so much for having confession when they have the basically the same thing. Instead of 'hail Mary's' they must go through 6-12 months of hell and when the elders deem them repentant they can once again be a jw in good standing, even if the cong never really accepts them as such.

Now, seriously. As many have pointed, it depends on the elders. I've been in dozens of JC and I've seen everything. In a couple of occasions I've had interrupted fellow elders asking inappropriate questions. Once we even asked the person to leave us alone for a few minutes, and then got into a heated argument because the other two were embarrassing the poor woman. I shut them up opening my bible and reading when Nathan talked to David about his adultery... No details, no questions about "what step lead to the following..." and all that bull crap that miserable elders like to repeat and justify their morbid obsession with sex. Needless to say that elder hates my guts to this day.

Once (not long ago) an elder asked a girl that confessed getting oral sex form her boyfriend "How did you feel" and she answered "I think almost had an orgasm". They didn't like her answer. I guess she was supposed to say she was suffering because she knew she was offending god. Jeez!

My friend had a JC, and she was asked all the details - her dad was there too! I still cant believe they let him sit in with her - she was 18 sol old enough to be on own (10 years ago or so). She said it was so horrible, couldnt stop crying and they just went on & on, and her dad just sat there, didnt tell them wtf or anything. asking who was on top, what item of clothes came of first, where did you kiss, etc etc. Also her dad had made her take the morning after pill & when she told them that, they sort of brushed that one aside (he was an MS i think).

She was so scared that she did what they told her too & didnt stick up for herself, they told her if she was uncoperative it would be classed as her being unrepentant & she'd be df, so she told them everything.

I later read in the elder book thing, that they dont need to know the details, so the fact they do ask is probably to get off on later.

I was involved indirectly with several cases the BOE was investigating, all of the cases over the same period of time. It was the "What did you see?" type of questioning, and later directly as I was accused of being a naughty boy too.

The elders did not dig, too deep for details, thank goodness.

But a sister in the cong during the same time was given to whole nazi interogation routine. She told me she was so embarressed by the questions, who did what first, who got undressed first, did you help him....(well you get the drift) etc etc. She ran out the room in tears. She got public reproof at the end.

In conversation with an elder shortly before I left and started to fade, this elder explained in detail what the thrill for gays were, and how anal and oral sex were acually homosexual acts etc. My jaw must have bounced off the pavement. I listened with mock interest, but my brain was screaming, "HOW THE HECK DO YOU KNOW THAT??"
