When discussing my resignation from the BOE with the PO and the secretary, I covered the information about not "knowing" or having total faith in the FDS, especially the Governing Body.
I mentioned how it was difficult to know more than the names of the GB members and a brief biography from the WT Library. I said that I had read the bio on every GB member there ever was (not that many) and I had a couple of problems. I said that the WT said whenever a GB member died and whenever a new member was appointed, but somehow two men were GB members at one time then they were not. No mention of a death or anything was ever made, so how could I possibly keep up with the Governing Body and "know" and trust them if I don't even have information on what happened to them. The PO and secretary wanted to know who those 2 names were. I said "Ray Franz and Leo Greenlees" The two elders go really quiet and stared at each other, never offered any information they may have known about those 2 fellows. These elders of mine were staunch believers and the secretary was well-connected at Bethel, serving there every summer in the foreign language field. They knew something and were afraid to say.
Well, I already knew what happened to both of those GB members. I just didn't let on about that, but acted as though I had stuck with my WT Library for information.
WT probably does have a quote about Ray Franz no longer serving, but I didn't find it. I am pretty sure there's nothing about Greenlees.
