Re the guilt trip on parents VIA their children.

Yeah, my Mom does that every so often, though she tends to stop whe I remind her that I want nothing to do with a God that kills innocent Children.

Perhaps if the JW's preached a more loving and caring God it would be better.

If you're a Fundamentalist, there is no such thing as "innocent". You're either a member -- or you're bird food. There is no in-between ground.

Further, you get your jollies from pointing at non-members and vocalizing how good it is to not be like them.

The guy hanging on the _________ next to Jesus did not get baptized. Yet, Jesus assured him that he would see him in __________.

    Excellent analogy.

Ist Cor 1: 13-17 "Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power."

If we actually look at the Scripture given in the article: "We are "saved through faith," "not owing to works" of the Mosaic Law or of those performed as Christians. Our faith should be more than mere professed faith. (Eph. 2:8-9; John 3:16) It should move us to godly action. [...]

Eph 2:8-9 For by Grace are you saved... not by works... and John 3:16 ...that whosoever believes in him...

Salvation is by faith in the Son of God and nothing else. Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."

I conclude that by saying "no other name..." that the Old Testament believers are also saved by the shed blood of Christ. There was no baptism for them, only faith in the yet to be revealed savior, Christ the Lord.

I think that Jehoober will kill every last person so He don’t have to listen to no damn whining about having to bury stinking carcasses or cleaning toxic dumps or that their faithful hubby didn’t get resurected or that the elder slave driver is a prick or they didn't get the big house they had been lusting for for 30 years . After all, nobody is perfect and this will make it easier on Jehoober’s angel’s.
