I cut my hair really short when i was about 30, my husband would not come near me for a few months.
So now its back long half way down my back but layered....I do love long hair on me the best. And so does someone else...lol
I think i will keep it for a long long time....

I have had my hair length and style pretty consistent the past decade or so (someone here mentioned that a while ago). I like it between my shoulders and my nipples -- about 2/3 of the way in between. Maybe I will change the style but every time I go to a stylist, I never feel inclined to do radical changes.
I have been very unhappy with my hair the last two years --- I have shed so much and the hair has gotten thinner and thinner. So maybe shorter hair is in my future but I would like very much for it to have the body and thickness it used to have. I think I look better with longer hair too, but shoulder-length should be fine I guess. I haven't had it that short since 1997.
I enjoy changing my hair style - it's so much fun. I've had loooong hair and then cut it into a short pixie type style and funk it up. Had it shoulder length or page. I've dyed it pink, put streaks in - you name it (except bald) and I've done it. There is so much you can do with it.
Why not go shorter / more messy bed head look (so much fun) that you can funk up - if I knew how to put up pics I'd show you a couple.
I like women with long hair.. but then again there's reasonable limits to everything right ? And these aren't it !!!

I find very few women with short hair where I don't find myself thinking, "Wow she'd look SO much hotter with long hair."
I also hate it when women go to "dress up" for some event, and pin their hair up in silly buns and such, when they look SO hot with it down and flowing over their shoulders. But what do I know I'm just a man ! I don't have to wash it and care for it~~Cal
Outlaw, I like some bald women. I think Demi Moore was very sexy in her G.I. Jane movie. She shaved her head off for the movie! That would be one less thing for a women to do everyday. Some women spend too much time on their hair.
I used to have very long hair but looking after it was nightmare!! A couple of years ago i had it cut to shoulder length and made blonder and it's sooo much better. i would never go back to having very long hair. I front a band so i have to make a bit of an effort - it's now more Debbie Harry than Marsha Brady lol.
Wow! You owned a Flowbee. I always wondered what happened when someone got it home and tried it. Applying a vacuum cleaner with razor sharp blades to your head never seemed like such a good idea to me.
In my humble opinion some woman can get away with really long hair after 50 but most can't and should try something else.

Does anybody here remember in the 80's when guys used to get theyre hair permed? I mean, what the hell was up with that?

I disagree with that statement about short hair being bad.....Short hair can be very sexy.
