Genesis is the story of the first human to "find" God.
Or, you can go with the teory that ALL THIS happend by chance of a big bang.

Is that a parody post?
The alternative to Creation is ultimately - Nothing Made Everything - which defies the basic rules of science. The key one being cause and effect - Every effect MUST have a cause.
This isn't necessarily correct. Energy could have always existed in some form. Who said it had to be created from nothing?
And how does "God" fix this problem? He himself either has always existed (like perhaps energy did) or he was created by nothing (or another God, in which case you must question that God's origin).
The evidence for evoultion is overwhelming. Can you mention a few??
It truly is overwhelming. To me some of the most compelling lines of evidence that prove common descent are found in genetics.
TalkOrigins.org (already pointed out) is a fantastic source for information. However, some may find the articles a bit hard to understand...especially if they are first delving into the evidences for evolution.
SeattleNiceGuy (used to post here) wrote some great articles on evolution. You might find them interesting. Here are the first couple which deal with genetic proof of evolution:

Scotsman,
Err no, the alternative according to science is that everything is here due to natural processes. Science does not know what came 'before' the big bang so perhaps you could rewrite that to be 'we dont know what made everything - entirely in line with the basic rules of science.'
Evolution was proven by Darwin, if you could point out one scientific article (in a reputable scientific journal) that proves Darwin wrong on the fundamentals of evolution by natural selection?
This site explores Misconceptions Regarding Evolution is a very simple manner. I enjoyed it.

Even if you utlimately reject evolution, it would be extremely valuable to understand what it is. You will then be able to intelligently discuss your own opinions and beliefs.
Here's a video that discusses some misconceptions of evolution as well:
There is a wealth of interesting material on YouTube on this subject. I'll post a few of my favorites.

Many self-described Christians have accepted Evolution. One of them is Francis Collins. He recently started a website called BioLogos.org.
Physic Parrot,
Yeah, it was a parody post towrds the end, but at the sametime it expressed my views.
We can't deny what science has provent o us, though we can still question what is theory, just like anythign else.
Evolution is a verifiable theory and as such we must find where its fits into God's scheme of things, we must also realize that Genesis is not to be take literally but must be interpretated base don what we know to be fact,
Of course, in the end it falls on Us to, one way or another, take our "leap of faith" in choosing which path to follow and how to follow it.
My advice would be to ask God to reveal himself to you. I know we were cautioned against it as JW's but the bible encourages it.
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
As far as evolution is concerned, I don't know that it necessarily trys to discredit creation. I guess in some circles it can be used that way. Maybe it did or maybe it did not play a part in how we got to this point. But nothing can take away a personal revelation.
