I know not everyone is going to like me. I'm not everyone's cup of tea. On the other hand I don't like everyone either. I tend to have a distinct impression of people when I first meet them. Some I like, some I don't. The ones I don't like I give the benefit of the doubt until they prove me right. If they prove me right then I avoid them. If I know someone doesn't like me, I do my best to avoid them too.

Anytime a person is assertive and voices strong opinions, the person will not be liked by some. At work I don't talk politics or religion. I smile and laugh and my workmates love me. My boss does, too. But here on the forum, many of discuss subjects and voice strong opinions. So, we are bound not be liked by those who can't tolerate our views.
