Any acid will soften your enamel for a while, but it quickly recovers. Don't brush while it is still soft.
That advice was given to me by my dentist. Check with yours next time you visit.

I googled up about plain perrier water, it has VERY low acids in it.
A bump to the top...
And a re-phrase of my question...
Does the carbonic acid created by CO2 in water do damage to your teeth?
bttt for Kudra, I would suggest that you go to the yahoo answers section and ask a question there, I am sure you will get some good answers or you could try to find a dentistry forum on the internet?????

hanks asilentone :)
I tried the Yahoo answers section before I asked here. But the answers were all misdirected- people talking about bad sugary sodas! I didn't ask the question myself but other users had asked the same question as I.
A dentistry forum is a good idea. Thanks!
Dental Hygienist here. I have a list at work, with PH values of various liquids. I will bring it home tomorrow, and try to scan it in.
Also, I will get a Dentist quote on this.
Wow! Thank you very much horrible life!
I have been trying to figure this out forever.
