Does the fact that JWs still exist have any effect upon you?

Yes, since they are aggressively courting my wife, and she is buying into their bs.

To some degree I guess they do have some effect...I'm here posting about JW related subjects. But as more time goes by the less effect they do have. I have family still in, so as along as they're in, I will be affected. I like to stay on top of what's going on in the JW world...forewarned is fore armed.

If the WTS was to cease to exist, it would just give me the oppurtunity to say, "Told ya so..." and be proven right, not that my day to day life would change.

Because the JWs have so divided and ruined this family, if they ceased to exist or at LEAST lifted the ban on associating with ex members, it would be BETTER than the Paradise Earth!!

    Seriously

Yes because my father is 'in'. If he passes away, they cease to be an influence directly. But I have to handle all the crap that's been piled on me over the years because my parents were 'in'. While I have other family that are also 'in', they don't have much to do with me so there's no real influence or affect on my life there.

    it would be wonderful!!!

perhaps the more doctrinal, positive beliefs could be continued into a new, less formal, religion, or at least belief system.

    the org needs to die.

I think as long as we have relatives in, we'll be affected.
