Blondie...Interesting stuff. Thanks for providing this info.

Cameo...I don't think the vest with the stones in it was the Urim and Thummim. If I remember my research on the U&T, it was something that was put inside the garment behind the breast piece. (See Blondie's info above.)

When I read the book, The Gods Themselves, I remember wondering if perhaps the U&T was some sort of communication device to "the mother ship". God!! Can you imagine the look on an elder's face if I had brought THIS up!?

It sounds like a magic 8 ball. Maybe the elders should start using those!

Blondie is an amazing source of information!

Thank you Blondie, and thank you, Journey-on for bringing this to my attention.

Now I am wondering if there was some sort of primitive battery used to make the stones light up.

All of these things were based on sorcery and wizardry. These people were mages, or magicians. This is the training they received in the mystery schools.

Shock and awe! That's the name of the game. Hold the mysterious power over the people. It brings fame, power, and money!

Speaking of the Urim and Thummin, M. G. Eaton, in his Illustrated Bible Dictionary, states: "What the 'Urim and Thummin' were cannot be determined with any certainty. All we certainly know is that they were a certain divinely-given means by which God imparted, through the high priest, direction and counsel to Israel when these were needed. The method by which this was done can be only a matter of mere conjecture. They were apparently material objects, quite distinct from the breastplate, but something added to it after all the stones had been set in it—something in addition to the breastplate and jewels." Most Hebrew scholars still do not admit that these mysterious words are ancient electrical terms.

    Ancient electrical terms?

    Interesting concept, don't you think?
