Most baptisms in the USA are from born-ins who also have the lowest retention rate (same problem for the Mormons though not as bad as the JW's).

Perhaps these born-ins have seen the devastating results of getting baptized and then making a mistake, even a very minor mistake by worldly standards and have seen how nasty it can get for the baptized person being shunned by family and friends.

Being an unbaptized publisher allows one the social life.......... the only real perk the JW's can offer........... but without the danger of being shunned.

    Watchtower-Free:
We have a solution to your charts and graphs! We will just double the amount of hours preached. How you ask? There will be a 50-70% discount on the hours required for the pioneer title. There will be an influx of shithead publishers into pioneer ranks!

That's just because you Southern folks have better weather & more to do outside. Up here in NY there are way more suicidal people stuck indoors for 7 months. They just figure joining a cult is at the very least entertaining.

Maybe they should start baptizing the literature carts.

    A bonus statistic.

Zero hours needed to get that one.

Oh yeah, the talk was still given.

The speaker just changed his wording to make it apply to all those in attendance and as a reminder to live up to our dedication.

Same thing happened where I'm from. No one came to the party. The speaker still had to give the talk

Yep. I definitely go along with Finkelstein's take- " welcome to the information age Watchtower corporation " . Exactly. The better access the public and even lurking wannabe JW's have to the Internet and revealing information - the less they wannabe a JW. Stands to reason. Believing in reality is better than believing in false fantasy's
