  Pretty soon, science is going to prove that the Bible lies.

  I think the DNA evidence has already done that, scientist already are fleshing out the many branches of the DNA tree of life, which completely debunks the Adam&Eve story. It simply depend on how familiar one is with the scientific advancements to date. It's pretty conclusive, I would be surprised to hear of any microbiologist that believe in the A&E story.

  My interest in what's happening in this field goes far beyond its ability to prove the bible lies(that's just a small side benefit). It effect on our species future covers a lot more area than proof religion is a snare and a racket. This probably might be way up there in importance, beyond that of discovery of Christopher Columbus, or splitting the atom.

  Some ideas that come to mind with this plethora of DNA information being processed by super computers.

  1) They should be able to form a much more accurate tree of branching life forms, not based on skeletal remains but based on much more accurate DNA analysis.

  2) Dating the many branches of when a species branched to a new form that couldn't mate with the other forms that branched away from the common ancestral form. I'm sure they are making soft ware right now that can do that better and faster as technology increases it should get very accurate.

  3) Learn maybe many new mathematical formulas.

  4) Synthesize custom DNA to do things DNA maybe never did before?,, Who knows there is so much knowledge that can come from all this DNA information being put in these computers, maybe everything that can be done with DNA has already been done who knows, we may be dealing with infinities here and mathematics.

  I don't know how one can use DNA as a proof of intelligent designer, there isn't any conclusive evidence for or against "intelligence design" as in who invented DNA? A designer or just naturally occuring random acts of molecular combinations, until self replicating ones came into the right combination Such as DNA, RNA, or even some precurser leading up to the formation of DNA.

  When we have certain religiously indoctrinated biases one may conclude that there is conclusive proof in DNA's configuration, of an intelligent design,, but a more objective viewing of the information we are learning about DNA is leaning many towards different conclusions,, with no need to have an intelligent designer in the mix.

  How ever you want to slice it, either with strong religious conviction or without,, these discoveries will deeply impact our lives both now and in the future.

  Complexity is NOT evidence of good design. As a computer programmer I have seen many software solutions that were very complex - sometime too complex to completely internalize - and at the same time far inferior to simpler, cleaner solutions. The smartest solutions are the simplest solutions.

  Elegant simplicity if far better evidence of design than complexity is - that would indicate wisdom. If you really understand the body, there are many examples of things that, if designed, could have been designed a lot better. The way the optic nerve connects to the eye (causing blind spots and all sorts of complications), the way the spinal cord passes through the vertebrate of the spine (increasing risk of serious nerve problems for upright walking creatures), even simple adjustments to our teeth can double or triple their longetivity.

  There are lots of great examples in biology of creatures and biological systems that, if designed, would have to have been designed intentionally poor.

  It isn't hard to see why nature is the way that it is when you take away the forced idea of a god so smart he knows everything and can do anything no mater what it is(causings a paradox on so many levels),, but when one takes away the forced idea and replaces it with a cause and effecttype of thinking,, which DNA is thriving on and from,, being that lucky combination of self replicating molecules that keeps growing longer the more it replicates. Lot of nifty information about everyones past stored in that molecule.

  Check out D-Wave out of Vancouver, BC. They are the leaders, IMHO. They already have a 128 qubit supercooled adiabatic quantum computer, and they are rapidly scaling up. No one else even comes close to them.

  The HUMAN EYE actually disproves specific creation, as it is so inefficient. It is the work of a tinkerer, the accident of whichever part of the primal creature was sensitive to light.

  Only an idiot ignorant of engineering and mathematics would come up with such a clumsy design.

  In nature, there are other examples of much more efficiently designed eyes, yet we are the pinnacle of God's creation according to the Stone AGe Scriptures...
