I don't understand why people like him still stick to this argument and expect others to believe. My belief was based on knowledge and when I received more knowledge I stopped believing, simple as that. They do not what to know, they want to believe. I had so many arguments with people that even after I gave them a lot of information they would say "well is it possible that the bible is the word of god?" yes but that's not the point many things are possible but are not probable, I would say it is possible that I am god and I am testing your faith can you prove me wrong? No you can't so it is possible but you do not believe that because you know it is highly improbable. This would end the conversation.

What "knowledge" was that?
So if one doesn't get the witness of the spirit, they are condemned and will die?
Jeff, you may enjoy the comments at the blog I linked to.
Deputydog the simplest and shortest way to answer your question is that everything I knew about the bible, science (evolution, cosmology,biology,etc..) and the way I saw the world was from one source, the WT. My mind was under their control. When I stop trusting them I looked elsewhere for knowledge and realised I was lied to about many things.
Craig seems to be a believer in prevenient grace or some variation thereof.
Hi Jeff,
So if one doesn't get the witness of the spirit, they are condemned and will die?
Short Film (Half Empty Half Full)
13 Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
6 He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
All the best,
Stephen

How do you know your mind isn't still under, at least under their influence? Do you think that your distrust of or the damage by the WT could still affect the way you see things like God, Christ, the bible and faith?
I'm just asking, I've never been a JW.
I agree somewhat with what he says. I believe in the Holy Spirit or the Divine Matrix or the energy, that imminates from the Source,(whatever you want to call it) is accesable to all of us and will naturally flow through us which will show up in our motives and actions in life. I don't like putting titles to things like "Christianity", because then, like he alluded to, you start to have 'arguments' over it. I believe that it's not about 'knowledge', like reading something which would include the Bible or other 'Holy' writings. I think it's just naturally there. The more 'still' we get, the more we are drawn to it and the more of 'it' flows through our lives and manifests itself in unconditional love.
When you do look at people who don't have access to these things, have only the land or nature or people that are mentally retarded in some way, seems to me they are closer to 'it' than us who let ourselves get clouded with 'stuff'. The more 'stuff' the less of this field can flow through us. Hard for me to explain , where's Poppers!.............wf
