How do you know your mind isn't still under, at least under their influence? Do you think that your distrust of or the damage by the WT could still affect the way you see things like God, Christ, the bible and faith?
I'm just asking, I've never been a JW.

Maybe on some things like god or on how I see myself and others but you see the knowledge I received about the bible was from the WT and it was deceitful and a lot of information was left out. I did not go from JW to atheist, I went from JW to simple christian, agnostic to atheist. If you want I could start a tread about the evolution of my belief and we can discuss it more in detail.

I'd love to know what you mean by a "simple christian". It may seem like I'm spliting hairs. I don't think I agree with Craig, but I believe the Holy Spirit plays an important part in "faith".

DeputyDog I don't mind questions I just don't want to debate over what one believes any more, I realised that it is futile, discuss no problem but debate no thanks.

To answer your question "simple christian" what I mean by that is that I did not join any particular group, I just studied did a lot of research prayed a lot and asked for guidance to help sort out all of the confusion the JWs put in my head. In the bible Jesus said that if you ask in is name that god would give you holy spirit as a helper, so that is what I did. After about two years of doing this(praying and studying) I came to the conclusion that the bible was not from god.
