Semantics, semantics, semantics.....
I discovered that some theories of mine that I had secretly harbored as a JW were somewhat new agey. By saying that, please understand that to me, they are nothing more then interesting theories/borderline beliefs, but they do not center on an alleged invisible personality in the sky. Nor am I the least bit interested in debating my theories, to me, they are a side point to the dominat humanist I have turned into......
Because I see, and even sense, that we humans need some kind of "spiritual" component to our life, I do give a certain amount of credence to faith and worship. They DO have value, but only if they serve to lift the individual, not an alleged god, and DEFINITELY NOT the promoters/"priesthood" of a group who claims special revelations and communications.
Just because I sense both power, and even design, doesn't negate important discoveries such as evolution. All the more so, if we could all put aside our pre programmed beliefs, we might discover items we as humankind have missed, being so busy as we tend to get arguing theist/atheist matters these days... Perhaps these discoveries can lead to more beneficial answers AND questions on the matter.....
(yet another example where I can't put a belief in 2 sentences or less.... sorry....

Don't believe. No belief at all. Zero. None whatsoever.

I don't believe in God.
I believe that there isn't a God.
It's all just semantics anyway. God doesn't mean anything.

Regarding this comment:
I think anyone who looks into a newborn's eyes will know there is a God.
What about the eyes of a horribly disfigured baby, does that still apply?

I believe god was created in mans image. Which if one thinks of it in logical and historical terms, makes a lot of sense. The god question filled in a lot of blanks, especially for ancient man who looked at everything in a more simplistic fashion. Mankind is the only creature that can mould the world around him, everything else follows a pattern. So it’s logical that man would believe he was created, considering his higher intellect.
It’s always possible that a higher being spark life into existence, not only here but elsewhere also, after all that’s a lot of space out there, why waste it. I really don’t see the point in worship as nothing is really proven in this regard.
