My kids watch the Disney channel which tends to play a lot of covered music. I was watching "Sky High" last week with the kids and all the songs in the movies were 80's covers. When I tell my kids that those songs really originated in the 80's they don't quite believe me...thank god for Youtube.
I still can't quite wrap my head around being in my mid 40's.

Josie, 40's at this point sounds young, I just turned 50 and when I look at my some of my favorite music performers and how they look now...it's absolutely scarey.

The only other thing that has that much power to shock you about your age is children. When they roll their eyes at your outdated expressions and gag at your music, you know for sure you're getting old. Bless their little hearts.

How about when you don't recognize most of the groups, singers, bands on the CD's in the store? Or when you have no clue who all the younger actresses, actors and models are? And when kids have never heard of groups and actors we all knew growing up, that makes you feel...well...special.
