The age of the men who run the Watchtower is such they cannot allow themselves to back down.
THE GOVERNING BODY is the engine that drives the religion. Any word spoken against the teachings is taken
as a direct affront. It isn't business---it is PERSONAL.
They "win" when their opponent goes down in flames (Disfellowshipped).
Bully mentality that wants to punish for reasons already mentioned and to strike fear in those left behind.
Do you all think there are any "true believers" on the GB who feel that tracking down and DFing guys like Frank K. is "keeping the congregation clean" and that if they didn't DF, Frank would be "impeding the free flow of holy spirit" on the congregation and org?
I am certain that many if not most elders believe the party line. I wonder about the GB. Most of those guys are post-Franz.
