ERV's are nothing to do with evolution, they are simply harmless viruses which inadvertently act as a useful tool for constructing lineages. Mutations are nothing to do with ERV's. And the passage you quoted has nothing to do with it at all.

My belief in God and my view that evolution is a "fact of life", coexists very nicely, with no conflict save the occasional MMA grudge match.

I am finding this thread educational. Personally, I am not knowledgeable about evolution and I enjoy these threads. Unlike certain posters, I do not post on threads like this as though I know what I am talking about when all I know is WT rhetoric. Obviously the WT paints a slanted view and misdefines evolution as I am learning- evolution being quite compatible with Christianity.
