Another young brother faces pressure from young ladies everyday to commit immorality - but he remains clean.

Except i wouldn't stay clean

Ah yes, JW Christianity. A generation that has been tired and struggling through "the last days" for nearly 2000 years.
It's the same kind of stuff I've listened to my entire life... and my parents' lives... and my grandparents' lives. One day while I was "running the race for life", I actually quit listening to this nonsense and looked at reality. I wasn't running any "spiritual" marathon. I wasn't going anywhere. It was all a JW constructed treadmill. I could never go far enough or fast enough to actually make any kind of progress. Everyone around me in Bethhell was equally expending energy, but we weren't going anywhere. All we kept hearing was "RUN!! RUN!! DO MORE! FASTER!"
Great, now I feel like I'm gonna puke.
Amen, Billy! That was funny!
Boy....every bad illustration, every worn out buzz word, every catch phrase and old saying ever said or written by the Dubs in 150 years...all in one place. Dont you just feel uplifted? encouraged? appreciated??
Look into my eyes, look into my eyes, not around the eyes, in the eyes...
OK, I'm back in the room!
It's just a public talk outline with some examples and illustrations stuck in. Yawn .
But what about the email?
Another couple used to be loved by their family and friends when they were in the world, but once they learned the truth - they were shunned.
The irony runs deep.
I found this interesting
...Jehovah, the Most High Sovereign of the Universe
Well where did they get that title from? Surely even the mistranslated NWT doesn't included that.
Looks like a remix of the Freemasonary god
Great Architect of the Universe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
All the best,
Stephen
Of course, the shunning which Mary and Chalam quote is in relation to "worldly" ones shunning those now joining with JWs. That's how it often goes when people switch their allegiances in practice. Heart wars often have no neutral players.
No surprise the email only mentions Jesus once and at the end. Strange as He is the way, the truth and the life.
Satan gets several props though...
All the best,
Stephen
A sample of today's religious TV programming is an interesting parallel to the observations already recorded here regarding a noted lack of mention of Jesus Christ. Peter Youngren the televangelist bemoans the lack of focus on Christ in modern messages in Christendom. And, I found it interesting to note that Willard Thiessen (an inter-faith moderator with a "Christian" perspective)'s Hindu guest made more mention of Jesus Christ than did Willard. Still, Jesus, being the humble representative of Jehovah that he is has always been more concerned with Jehovah's message of reconciliation and hope to Jehovah's glory, knowing that all the honour Jesus needed would come from Jehovah alone. Any other human can be fickle, so constant vigilance is required.
