No, Missing Link, I do not think all liberals are against just punishment. Just some liberals, and that is why I said some liberals.
Secondly, your assumption that I watch Fox News, is just as assinine as your assumption that I quoted above. However, that is neither here nor there.
Thirdly, it is Us - the law abiding people vs. Them - those that are incapable or unwilling to live in civilizied society.

I'm glad you received justice.
I'm a liberal and I'm not opposed to the three strikes law, in a case like this though the crime he committed itself would warrant to me a long prison sentence. The problem that I have, or most liberals have with the three strikes law is that there are cases where the punishment doesn't fit the crime. Like if a person commits three crimes that involve theft to get drug money, then maybe they would benefit more from getting off drugs than a long prison sentence or life imprisonment.
Violent criminals liberals and conservatives agree should be taken out of society.
