Cornbread also goes great with pig tails that have been stewed down in garlic, peppers, and onions.

John Doe, the bread is made with cracklins (fried pig skins with a little meat attached). You won't need any oil if you use cracklins.
JD...Just stick with the oil. Damn Sylvia, is there any part of a pig you won't use?? lol

I will endevour to try some and I am a huge fan of corn bread !
Back in the old country, my family used to have a grocery store and bakery and every sunday morning we got in this special corn bread, still nice an warm from the baker, making my mouth water right now !
