Hebrews 5:9 (Note: do not be fooled by what you read in the smaller black NWT, dear ones. Rather, see the corresponding footnote, NWT Ref. Bible for the literal words for this verse which do not say "after he is... he will become"... but "after he had been... he became".)
The use of the outbreak of World War I (and thus, 1914) as some kind of invisible "marker" of my Lord's presence is in exact opposite to what HE said would be a sign of the "end" of the system and the beginning of his "day":
"You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that you are NOT terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is NOT yet. For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. All these things are a BEGINNING of pangs of distress. Matthew 24:6, 7
The WTBTS uses this false date to indicate the beginning of the manifestation of my Lord's invisible presence after he was installed as king. THis is a LIE, however, as his invisible presence was manifest when he poured out our Father's holy spirit upon those in gathered in the upper room at Pentecost 30 CE. It was manifest in sound and sight: the "noise just like that of a rushing stiff breeze" was audible EVIDENCE of his BREATH... which he blew upon those present. The "tongues of fire" were visible EVIDENCE of God's holy spirit, "living water," which God removed from the temple at Jerusalem and placed IN Christ, who was now "pouring" INTO the people present. Thus, HE, the "cornerstone" of God's "temple" (which replaced the one at Jerusalem), was beginning to "build" a place for God to dwell... the Greater Temple... one made NOT with hands... but with "living stones." Matthew 3:13; John 1:32; John 4:10, 14; John 20:22; Acts 2:17, 18; Acts 2:2; Exodus 13:21, 22; 14:24; 40:34-38; Psalm 78:14; Acts 17:24; Luke 20:17; Ephesians 20:22; 1 Peter 2:5; 1 Corinthians 3:16
Contrary to the WTBTS' false teaching that the "door" was closed in 1935, that "temple" is STILL being built. For Christ, who IS the Door, the Way, and the Narrow Gate through which one must go in order to enter into the ARK [of the Covenant]... still stands "open" and will be until the Most Holy One of Israel, Himself, JAH of Armies, closes it. John 10:7, 9; John 14:6; Matthew 7:13, 14
Thus, even today, the [Holy] Spirit, who IS the glorified Christ... and the Bride... KEEP saying, to ANYONE who is thirsting and ANYONE who wishes, "Come! Take life's water... FREE!" 2 Corinthians 3:17; Revelation 22:17

JWMediaFilms - Nicely presented but with one fatal flaw that undermines the whole conclusion.
At 5:51 minutes in, after discussing the JW belief that the prophecy about the darkening of the sun, moon and stars was fulfilled after 1914, it is stated:
"They are still claiming all the events that will occur after the tribulation still happened."
No they don't still claim that. They modified their view back in 1994. They believe the celestial phenomena will, in the future, occur after the great tribulation.

19 The Gospel passages in Matthew, Mark, and Luke combine with Revelation chapters 17-19 to shed considerable light on what will soon occur. At God's fixed time, the great tribulation will begin with an attack against the world empire of false religion (Babylon the Great). This will be particularly intense against Christendom, which corresponds to unfaithful Jerusalem. "Immediately after" this phase of the tribulation, "there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth [unprecedented] anguish of nations."-Matthew 24:29; Luke 21:25.
This was a key Watchtower study, and it listed the official viewpoints that had been promoted in the past, including references to some of the articles in the video.
The video-maker would do well to amend his script.

JW's would say that Christ's invisible presense in 1914 is not the same as His Coming that is mentioned in Revelations. It's almost like He is coming 3 times.....first as the Saviour, 2nd invisibly as Ruler, and then 3rd as a Kingly Judge riding a white horse with a flaming sword coming out of His mouth.
See??? You can't win with JW's.

Sure they did in 1874. In 1914 they expected Armageddon that will bring an end to the goverments of the world(nothing like what they believe now)and the dawn of the New Era the 1000 years of Jesus Reign
