In other words, "since you're not getting the necessities of your life taken care of then you're really not putting Jehovah first in your life. So it's all your fault". What a way to underhandedly push someone further down!

CANTLEAVE- It sounds like your fellow elder is using a typical weapon of mind control cults to control you - guilt. By making it seem like the world is going to absolutely collapse for the other elders because you need to " provide for your family " this dickwad fellow elder has essentially told you that you are wicked and lacking in Jehovah's , er the WT organizations eyes. we did the same to an elder, who resigned, and slowly fades, always was perplexed, because he is a real decent guy, pretending to have problems, now I wonder, whether he just fades for the same reason as many on this forum here....
however, I can hardly talk to him, since he is raraley at meetings...
anyway, I think about a similar plan for myself, first I have to talk to my wife, soon.....
