Other Religions Compatible to JWs

Just wondering, are there any religions that exist that might be palatable to Dubs? I realize all of their teaching goes against this, but I'm wondering from an outside or neutral view, can you think of any that would work for someone who was/is a JW? Southern Baptist? Seventh Day Adventist? Greek Orthodox? (I'm brainstorming here...)

I've heard a few people say Christadelphians are similar to JWs.

However, I think Fundamentalist Muslims are a near perfect match:

1. They have a bloodthirsty God.

2. They think all other religions are apostate.

3. They have zero tolerance for dissention in the ranks.

4. They treat women and children like shit.

5. They only support a theocracy form of government.

6. They prefer their rank and file to be illiterate or barely educated.

7. They encourage people to die for their cause.

8. They promise eternal life for those who die for their cause.

But unlike the wimpy JWs, Muslims don't give a rat about obeying "wordly" laws, or wait for their God to kill all but themselves. No! They are proactive and are busy killing all the apostates they can right this minute!

To put it another way, Muslims are doing right now what JWs only wish they could be doing right now.

No other group is really too much like the jw's. The HOSEHEADS in Brooklyn always keep them believing some of the weirdest crap.

Hmmmm...I guess I was more thinking of proposing a compromise, a step toward each other (him, ultra conservative, me, ultra liberal), not a lateral or otherwise move. =)

However, it somewhat defeats the purpose leaving the WTS and joining another one of these religions, as when boiled down they are all basically the same.

Some JWs go on to be Baptists because they are active preachers and charitable, but their teachings of Trinity and hell can be hard to take.

Others find Anglicans ok because they are one of the least judgemental of the Christian religions.

Universal Unitarianism is a very open religion.
