Things are really bad in Sumatra right now too....over 500 dead. I am reading that one of the major problems is that buildings there are not built to withstand major earthquakes.

oook, i'm seriously not getting this. i've just watched the tourist taking the film of the water leaving and the one where theyre shouting at the man on the bobbing boat that rides the wave no problem as the wave heads towards the shouters on the flat.

theres people standing around taking nice long videos of the water rapidly going out, look how fast its going......look how fast its coming back!

now much as i know its nice to have pictures of something a little different, but if the water starts receding like that, do people still not realise

its time to get the heck outa there!
