:The Bible is where it says that the road to destruction is wide and many are on that road. Jehovah's done it before, in Noah's time... who's to say he won't do it again?
The Bible also says snakes, who have no vocal chords, can talk. So can donkeys.

Butterfly,
In order those four quotes were from:
Paul:
The Bible to me is just a most interesting piece of anicent literature. But even from the standpoint of the Christian believer, I think you may be confusing JW interpretational style with the Bible itself.
Yes, Jesus in one context talked about the narrow and cramped road to life. The restoration prophecies of Isaiah speak of a broad highway of holiness leading to Zion. One illustration is given in the context of 1st century Judea and the other is in reference to the rule of the Kingdom.
Which one the JW's choose to apply on a limited scale to themselves only and which one they choose to apply to all of mankind is both predictable and altogether unsurprising for a 19th century doomsday sect.

TD quotes: "So each one of you undedicated persons has today the same freedom to choose, a choice of life or death. If you deliberately refuse to dedicate yourself to Jehovah God in this judgment day of his in which we now are living, your life will end at Armageddon, if not before, as a condemned sinner without right to life and even without hope of a resurrection."
And strangely, as a teenager, I was ok with my choice of death. Better dead than living in subjugation for all eternity. No thanks! I learned early on that when you basically said 'I don't buy into this' you took away all the power that someone was trying to exert over you. When you accept whatever consequence was supposedly going to be delivered, there wasn't much argument left.

"On Satan’s side will be all the rest of mankind, more than 99.9 percent, even as we read: "The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." That includes all the governments of the world together with their supporters, the commercial, religious and social institutions. Even the professedly Christian organizations? Yes, because all such that are friends of the world are making themselves enemies of God.—1 John 5:19; Jas. 4:4." (Thanks for the sources)
"If we have faith in the Kingdom, if we are lovingly loyal to God’s anointed King, we shall be glad to obey his instructions and arrangements through his visible theocratic organization. The Kingdom means tighter organization for God’s people on earth. This is vitally necessary if we are to stand up against the combined forces of the enemy and overcome this world. No one can go it alone, and the King will not go it alone with such an individualist. He goes with his flock, his organized subjects. If we refuse organization instructions, if we forsake the gathering of ourselves together to avoid organization and its obligations, where could we go after Armageddon? Will there be separatists after Armageddon who will each make himself his own society and live as a hermit in a spacious earth, avoiding human contact and preferring animal society? For anyone to forsake the organized congregation of those who are destined to survive Armageddon means for that one never to get past Armageddon into the New World and its theocratic system. Like Noah’s family, we must now get into the ark all together!" (That's exactly what they think; yes they say this but with all their errors, what gives them this position... I'm still trying to figure that out)
"This dedication to God must be made gladly and voluntarily. It is a personal choice and no one can make it for another. It is not a choice to be made under coercion either. One should not make such a dedication just to keep peace in the family or because one feels he is under pressure to do so. No one is compelled to choose the only way that leads to life. The choice is each individual’s personal responsibility. As Moses said: "I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the malediction, and you must choose life in order that you may keep alive, you and your offspring." And how does one now choose life? The next verse explains: "By loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice and by sticking to him, for he is your life and the length of your days." In other words, you choose life by dedicating yourself entirely to Jehovah your God, to obey him forever.—Deut. 30:19, 20, NW." (Yeah.... right .... no pressure. lol They get baptised and then what-o if they make a mistake get ready to not only reap what you sow but loss your family and your name is scarred for life! Sorry a lil bet off the subject I just had to vent at that statement. It's like they have got me to obey but it's because I want life, but what about the 'laws' JW put on you, you get punished for them too)
The Watchtower February 1, 1957 pp. 73,74-"This old world with its many systems of religion, commercialism and politics is doomed to certain destruction within the present living generation. Millions will perish with it because they have no faith. Only faith will enable one to conquer this old world and live on forever in the new world of righteousness. The inspired apostle of Jesus Christ wrote: "And this is the conquest that has conquered the world, our faith."—1 John 5:4, NW." (get why ppl say Genocide is the deliberate and systematic destruction, in whole or in part, of an ethnic, racial, religious, or national group. (wikipedia.org) )
still looking but cant quite find the quote you did, (and would really really like too this one caught my eye)
"Do not think that one can believe whatever he likes so long as he leads a good life, or that doctrinal differences do not really matter. That is a fatal error. It is just that distinction that makes all the difference between one’s surviving Armageddon and one’s perishing along with the old world."
because they (WTS) say one can live a good life that death is the end afterwards. (am I wrong?)

"As for you, beloved ones, call to mind the sayings that have been previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, how they used to say to you: ‘In the last time there will be ridiculers, proceeding according to their own desires for ungodly things.’ These are the ones that make separations, animalistic men, not having spirituality. But you, beloved ones, by building up yourselves on your most holy faith, and praying with holy spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love, while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ with everlasting life in view."—Jude 17-21, NW. ( I could almost turn it back on them, elders that ridicule and proceed with their own desires. (not saying all elders though I did see one elder that felt my pain and struggle he suggested a counselor when I got DFed, but I couldn't turn to him anymore because he stepped down from elder position) )

This is from the article, "Faith Conquers the World" in the February 1, 1957 issue of The Watchtower. The highlighted text actually occurs on page 74:
But mere belief in the existence of God, the Creator of matter and life, does not give us an intellectual understanding of God’s purposes or will. We need something else besides the works of nature upon which to base faith. We need a revelation by God as to what he purposes to do. He has provided just such a revelation. It is the book we call the Holy Bible. Knowledge of God’s purposes as revealed in the Bible is the basis for faith and leads to life.
We say that the true Christian faith is the sum of beliefs concerning Jehovah God and his kingdom as delivered to us by his chosen Seed, Jesus Christ, and his disciples. But do not the peoples of Christendom also believe the same Bible? Then why is it that they do not believe the same things that Jehovah’s witnesses believe? Do not think that this is merely a matter of opinion, of private interpretation. Do not think that one can believe whatever he likes so long as he leads a good life, or that doctrinal differences do not really matter. That is a fatal error. It is just that distinction that makes all the difference between one’s surviving Armageddon and one’s perishing along with the old world.
This old world with its many systems of religion, commercialism and politics is doomed to certain destruction within the present living generation. Millions will perish with it because they have no faith. Only faith will enable one to conquer this old world and live on forever in the new world of righteousness. The inspired apostle of Jesus Christ wrote: "And this is the conquest that has conquered the world, our faith."—1 John 5:4, NW.
