I like down-filled coats for winter.
Very warm, but still light enough that they don't weigh your shoulders down if you have to wear it alot.

Musky
I heard you can't take things back for a refund there. Only store credit. That stinks. Maybe they changed their policy?
Fortunately I haven't needed to purchase a winter coat in years (Hurray for global warming)
It just doesn't get that cold around here. I do wear a leather in the winter when I'm motorcycling. But I've owned the same one since I was 23. It's twelve years old.
If you bought a down-filled coat in Bama, you'd never wear it.
I will say that Gore's global warming has saved us a shitload on power bills. Yay Gore! I'm so glad he thought of that!

Rub a Dub
we dont want winter!!!!!!!!! summer all year round..yay have a bikini :))
(ignoring John Doe and Rubadub) If you have any more suggestions, I would appreciate it.
I had a few down parkas, and i don't care for them. The loft in the down can easily collapse. If they get wet, zilcho insulation. The newer synthetic fibres are really good at insulating, and they stay puffed up much better.
