Greatest green handshake ever: An elder handed $ to a C.O. (who was a total jerk). The C.O. asked what it meant. Answer: 'Love your enemies and pray for those that persecute you'. That took b*lls.

They got exactly as much from me as they deserved. Which was nothing. I never saw any point in giving the hounder-hounders anything--nor did I serve them any meals. There were always enough people on hand for that.

I saw green handshakes all the time. It was expected. Folks used to remind others to bring cash on sunday. Brothers typically gave green handshakes and sisters gave greeting cards with gift cards\certificates to the wife. There were rumors that COs asked to be assigned to our circuit because it was such a "loving" circuit.

I was told earlier this year that there was a new directive that the COs and their wives were no longer to accept monetary donations for themselves and are supposed to put them in the contribution box.

It's just sad that these same CO's would chew your ass for working full time or shift work. You just want to shake them and say, "Hello! That's how most people make money!"

edlerettes always told my mom to do this. we never did.

I never did, they have an expense account, they have a paid apartment, they have a paid car, they have a paid health insurance

I saw plenty of it and pitied the ones doing it for the kissassing jesture
